| Gross Catholic High School |
Greetings!
As many of you know, this will be my final year at Gross Catholic. I will be moving on to other things. However, I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you all how much I cherish my years in this community. It has been a wonderful career and I am grateful that I have had the good fortune to spend so much of it with the people of this high school. I have developed many beautiful friendships with students, parents, and co-workers during my time here -- and those relationships are what I will value most.
I'm very proud of all our accomplishments during the years I have been President. I believe I leave a school that is one of the best in the Omaha area. Among the things I am most proud of is the reconnection we have been able to make with the Marianists, who guide us in all our endeavors.
Furthermore, our academic program is absolutely the finest. Over the years we have worked very hard to be able to offer many Advanced Placement and honors classes. Our teachers and administrators are among the very best. Our unmatched extra-curricular program involves over 85% of our students. I can assure you that the time and talent given by our coaches and moderators is above and beyond what we can afford to pay them. There is no way we could begin to compensate them for all they do.
We have updated and renovated our facility with over $4.5 million in recent improvements. While there are still needs, we are grateful for the help of so many people. Projects like building and sharing the softball field with the St. Bernadette community, and even the remodeling of the commons restrooms last spring, are examples of what this great community can accomplish together. With donations from so many of you, Gross Catholic is a wonderful environment that can provide your students with great opportunities to grow now and in the future.
I thank you for helping me -- and the students of Gross Catholic --- have such a great experience here. We pray for the success of the search committee as they choose the next President to lead the Cougar Family. I ask that God hold all of you and your families in the palm of his hand, and keep you safe. Sincerely, Beckie Cleveland, President
