Honor Classes Champagne Challenge

If you are in the class of 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002 or 2007, we invite you to participate in this year's Champagne Challenge. The honor class with the highest participation in the Alumni Legacy Scholarship program by December 31 will receive a case of champagne for their reunion! The class of 1981 enjoyed champagne at their summer reunion!

Greetings!

The fall has started with a great deal of excitement this year! We celebrated Homecoming week September 12-16 with activities including an all-school Mass, fun dress-up days and the Homecoming pep rally, tailgate party, football game and dance. The weather was perfect and the Cougars were able to pull off a win against Sioux City making this year's Homecoming a true victory! We just finished our fall sports season, which produced very good teams that represented Gross Catholic well! Now we hear the sound of basketballs bouncing on the gym floor, splashes in the pool and everything else that represents winter sports. In addition, we had a very successful Open House for prospective students on November 12 with a record number of 8th graders in attendance.

As always, fundraising is very important to keeping tuition as affordable as possible and supplying scholarships and financial assistance to our students. We hope you will consider an Alumni Legacy Scholarship gift to the Annual Fund as part of your charitable giving this season. The generosity of our alumni ensures that new generations of the Cougar Family benefit from this special, quality education in the Marianist tradition.

Alumni Girls Basketball Reunion

Join us for the first Girls Basketball Alumni Night on Saturday, December 10. Check out the action on the court as the Cougars battle the Bennington Badgers at 4:15 (JV) and 6:00 (Varsity). After the games, join us for a social in the east commons.

Please RSVP to Mikaela VanMoorleghem by December 8 if you plan on attending. Former girls basketball coaches Rich Carey and Tim Powers '88 will join us, as well as coaches Liz Powers Schow '96 and Fr. Steve Emanuel, to pay tribute to your accomplishments at half time of the varsity game.

Young Alumni Pizza Night

The classes of 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 are invited to come "home" for the holidays at Gross Catholic High School. We want to catch up with you and see how life after Gross Catholic has been treating you.

Join us on December 22 for pizza in the east commons at 5:00 pm and the boys basketball game at 6:00 pm. Catch up with your classmates and have some fun during the holidays!
