Cougars are Environmentally Conscious! |
The Gross Catholic Environmental Club recycled 1,000 cans, 2,500 plastic bottles, and 1,200 lbs. of paper in February! Our recyclers of the month are Mr. Tim Powers and Emily Wilson who received a free lunch.
The Club also assisted St. Bernadette in collecting 250 milk bottles a day.
Think Green Thought for the Month: Every ton of plastic recycled saves about 2,000 lbs. of oil.

Greetings!
We are busy at this time preparing for CeleBration 26 - An Evening in Paradise. Our development office, chaircouples, and committees are hard at work, gathering auction gifts, soliciting corporate sponsors and underwriting, and planning how best to turn the gymnasium into a ballroom.
I want to thank our chaircouples for helping us. They are Bob and Jane Stutzman, Nancy and Dean Coenen, and Russ and Renee Iwan. We thank these parents for volunteering their time and efforts for this cause. Our goal this year is to raise $255,000. The school could not operate without this fundraiser and we are very appreciative of all the work that goes into it.
The students should be busy selling their raffle tickets for a $10,000 "Dream Vacation." Please encourage students to help sell the tickets. We believe it is an opportunity and a responsibility for the students to help their school. There are many prizes and incentives for selling the raffle tickets and students' efforts should be supported and promoted.
Gold Cup tickets are also available, as always, but the prizes are worth more this year. Each ticket costs $100 and puts the buyer in position to win $7,500, $2,500, $1,500, or $1,000! The Early Bird drawing will be held on March 24 and anyone who has purchased their ticket by then is eligible to win $1,000.
Please support this event with your attendance, selling your family's raffle tickets, purchasing a Gold Cup ticket, buying advertising, donating auction items, or volunteering your time. Gross Catholic students are absolutely the best of the best, and this evening makes it possible to provide them with the very best teachers, facilities and programs they so richly deserve.
God Bless,
Beckie Cleveland, President |
