May 2009

Greetings!

In this precarious economy those of us who have been blessed with a good education and success in our lives, are called upon to help those who are trying to mature into educated, skilled, successful adults.

As the executive director of this public charity, I am fully aware that there are successful people in our country who have a distain for many charitable causes knowing that a significant part of their donation is going to pay for salaries, buildings and other expenses. I am also aware that some people are wondering if the money already donated to us has "gone down the tubes" as much invested money in their own accounts has.

I want to assure you that you don't need to  be concerned about this charity!

1. We do not use any of your money for daily expenses. In fact, every cent of your donation will be given or already has been given to educate a worthy young person.

2. We have not invested your money. It is saved in our bank until it is used for an educational payment. Every cent is available to pay educational costs!

I ask for your support! I know one of our grantee's father has lost his job! Money is tight and college cost's are still going up! Please help us help this young woman and all of our granteesl!

I ask for your trust! We aren't wasting your money. With us, you can trust that the money is well-spent and doing what you want it to do.

Thank you!

Torben Aarsand, Executive Director

MEET MAX
Max, a bright and handsome young man, is a rising senior at Calvert Hall College High School. We learned about Max through the Maryland State Boychoir in which Max sings. Max is a member of his school's Spanish Honor Society and is also involved in the Italian Club, the Hallmen (Calvert Hall's choir) and the dance committee. This past fall he was also inducted into the National Honor Society. He also plays Rugby. He is faithful at his church, and volunteers at a foodbank in downtown Baltimore. With the Boychoir Max served as Head Chorister in the Tour Choir.
We are proud to provide a full scholarship so that Max can participate in the Maryland State Boychoir and we know that he will continue to be successful in whatever he chooses to do.
