Kids say the funniest things!

When out for dinner with my son one evening we had ordered a very flaky apple strudel for dessert.  He eyed it appreciatively before taking a bite.  A questioning look came into his eye as he said "This is really good, Mom, but why do they serve it with cardboard?"

Hidden Dangers in the Home

baby proof
1) Consider a lock for the dish washer (so he can't reach unsafe items, like steak knives, that you might be washing) and refrigerator.
2) Consider using a wall anchor or safety strap for the stove and large pieces of furniture that can tip over.
3) Use a guard on bannisters and railings, especially if your younger child can fit through the rails.
4) Secure (keep out of reach of your child) your car keys and lock your car so that your children can't get locked in the car or the trunk.

There are two types of licensed child care, a child care center or family care. Each has advantages and disadvantages and are discussed in more detail at the link below.

Child Care Centers offer full or part-time child care in a group setting. Children are in groups with same age children. Centers provide materials and age-appropriate planned activities. Smaller centers may have mixed age groups for parts of the day.

Family Care offers full or part-time child care in a person's home. Children in mixed age groups within a home-like setting.
