Prayer for your home
I would like to kick off the Christian edition of Carrie Pierce & Associates by praying for your home whether you rent or own. Lord, I come to you today, praying for the home of my friend. Father, I ask that you place your angels around this home and protect it from all evil and anything that might destroy it. Lord, I ask that you occupy this home with your presence and let the Spirit of the living God reside in this home. Let this home be a place where you and your Word is honored and revered. Right now Father, I ask that you bless my friends' home. Bless their home and may each person who goes in and comes out, feel your presence. In Jesus precious name I pray, AMEN!

Forgetting the first thing in home buying
by Heather Koerner
I really liked this excert written by Heather Koerner regarding teh decision to buy a home so I thought I'd share it with you...."Owning a home may be the American Dream but for Christians it shouldn't be a primary dream. As Christians, our aspirations instead, should center on obeying God. That includes obeying God in finances. A biblical worldview needs to permeate all of our decisions - including the decision to possibly buy a home. How does that work out practically? I can think of at least three ways. First, pray and ask for wisdom. Should I even do this God? Second, remember whose money is in your bank account. Hint: It's not yours. Third, remember your obligations. God instructs us in His word to support His church and to give to the needy. If buying a home will interfere with those, guess which needs to go? As much as you may want a home or want a certain kind of home, we need to be willing to bend my will to my Lord's."
