New Year's Issue January 2009
Welcome to the Queen Bee Newsletter
Greetings!

Happy New Year!  There are two things I like to do this time of year.  First I reflect on my business goals for the past year and second I outline a new business plan for the following year.

I'm happy to share with you that despite a difficult and humbling year in real estate Carrie Pierce & Associates has exceeded her 2008 goals, something that I absolutely would not have been able to do without you.

You see my business plan is built on two simple objectives, to focus 100% of my time providing world class service to clients and to continue doing business by referrals only.  Providing world class service is the easy part since we much enjoy treating clients like gold.  I do need your help with the other part. Who is the next person you know looking to buy or sell real estate?

 Sincerely Yours,

Carrie Pierce

Shhhh!  The Secret to Keeping New Years Resolutions

New years
Did you know that The University of Washington found that 65% of subjects who made their promises between December 28 and New Year's Day fell off the resolution wagon within a few weeks.  Making decisions spontaneously turned out to be a bad idea.

So what is the secret to keeping New Years Resolutions?  It turns out that those people who stuck to their resolutions are almost always backed by a strong personal commitment to change. And commitment depends on deep reflection, including an honest look at the recent past.  So this New Year be sure to take time to really reflect on 2008 rather than making a quick decision

In residential real estate, 2009 arrives much the same way that 2008 did: via a rocky road with deepening potholes. While Seattle has dodged the bullet better than most cities, the ongoing excess inventory of short sales and foreclosed homes continues to depress the market.

1 car garage - you can drive your Ford Escort into the garage but there is no room to open the door
Efficiently designed kitchen - the kitchen is too small to fit two people at the same time
Must see inside - the outside is ugly
Ready to remodel - the house is about to collapse
And much, much more - Nothing else really comes to mind
