The Future Of MMA On A Store Shelf!
(It's My Rant Of The Month!)
As much as we all love the fact that MMA is going mainstream, I have to say that I was stunned speechless(believe me, it doesn't happen often) when I found UFC and WWE merchandise mixed together on the shelf of the nearest mass merchandiser.
 
Why, you may ask, would that stop me in my tracks? Well, one day you have UFC and
WWE merchandise side by side on a store shelf and the next thing you
know, you'll have WWE fighters in the Octogon!
Oh, wait a minute, so what if Bobby Lashley just fought on a Strikeforce Card! I mean what could a former WWE (remember the E stands for Entertainment) wrestler actually accomplish in MMA? Oh, right, Brock Lesner holds the UFC Heavyweight Crown! Folks, the answer is these guys can, indeed, go all the way. They're great athletes and they prove it again and again every week!
But, could the 'unthinkable happen'? If the stars are aligned right, will a highly recognizable UFC fighter actually go over to 'the dark side' and be featured in one of Vince's latest stunts? Uh, oh - what will all those off shore betting websites give you 'odds on' then?
So, if I gaze into my crystal ball, what do I see? Obviously a blurring of the lines. The question I believe we should be asking is....in the future will we see the WWE as owners of the UFC or vice versa? Will we see both WWE and UFC matches on the same cards? WIll Vince McMahon and Dana White actually go head to head in a Cage Match? Stand by true believers something tells me that we'll have our answers very soon!

Dan Horbuckle Stalking the Bellator Belt
As you know, PrimeTime has been supporting Dan Hornbuckle since we first met him at a local event years ago. Now, thru his success in the Sangoku Challenge (I personally think his choice of EFG fight shorts played a large part!) Dan has his sights on the Bellator Championship belt. On April 22nd Dan won his first tournament match in 2:36 of the first round with a triangle choke. His next fight is not yet scheduled, but we'll keep you in the loop. The pics below are of Dan's 'triangle' and a training photo taken at the American Top Team facility in Coconut Grove, FL. (Note the PrimeTime Boxing Gloves).
It's been a long time since I was really excited about a fight. Now with Dan making his way through the Bellator 'field', I'm watching every round of every possible opponent. It's nice to be 'a fan' again!

April "Real Fight Pics"
We're always looking for 'cool Fight Shots' that truly epitomizes the skill, strength and determination that make MMA the greatest sport in the world. Naturally each features PrimeTime Gear.
 Everyone grimaces when looking at this "G&P" shot. Will this guy be picking PrimeTime Leather out of whats left of his smile or does he lock down on his mouthguard in time to avoid the broken jaw? Either way a band aid won't help!
 This image is a
'fluke'. Slow shutter speed yet our logo stands out in the blur of
movement. Ya gotta love the fighter on top. The image captures that
moment that he either 'feels it' or wants to beat the crap outta the 'turtle' because he can't close him out.
 Whaddya call this technique? Photographer caught it just as the fighter was looking thru the legs of his opponent-who had the foresight to wear his PrimeTime EFG shorts!
