Laserfiche 2011 One Source Annual Client Conference
Infolinx System Solutions, a Professional Developer Partner (PDP) with Laserfiche will be exhibiting at the 2011 One Source Annual Client Conference to be held at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, NC March 16-17, 2011.
Lacking an integrated technology solution capable of managing the entire legal record, until now most companies have been forced to implement separate, independent applications to manage both their electronic and physical records. The integration of Infolinx WEB with Laserfiche software remedies this situation enabling universal file plan development, federated searches, and extensive physical records disposition process support. Moreover, the integrated solution has garnered DoD5015.2 certification.
As seen in the articles referenced below and contrary to popular belief, corporate physical records are still ubiquitous, and their management a major concern for organizations.

Office Staff Still "Hanging on to Paper"
As referenced by National Scanning, office staff loath to give up paper copies, despite the wide availability of scanners and document management systems. AIIM's recent survey found that 62% of important paper documents are still archived as paper. Even when documents are sent off for archive scanning, 25% are photocopied beforehand "just in case". Less than a third of the paper originals are systematically destroyed after scanning. AIIM's President, John Mancini comments, "We are at last in a situation where electronic archiving of records is efficient, effective and can save huge amounts of space, and yet most office staff seem to be hanging on to paper in the mistaken view that there is some legal reason to do so."

Paper records still prominent for 86 percent of IT professionals
According to Debbie Howlett of Messaging Architects, eighty-six percent of IT professionals are still reliant on paper records despite impending government mandates and other regulations requiring updates to electronically stored information. Furthermore, 51 percent of respondents noted that they are "very reliant" on paper records despite the availability of reliable data management and email archiving solutions. Please visit our booth at the conference to learn how we can work together to provide an enterprise records management solution for our customers.
