York County Archives Chooses Infolinx WEB for Improved Customer Service
Infolinx WEB and Laserfiche Partner to Provide York County Archives Solution
Today, Infolinx announced that the York County Archives (a department of the York County Government in Pennsylvania) implemented the Infolinx WEB Records Management Software with an interface to Laserfiche’s Document Management Software. The Archives stores records for over 40 different county offices from various time periods throughout the past 250 years in York County history. This solution enables them to better serve their public patrons and to protect their original documents.
Scanned records’ images, stored in the Laserfiche repository, are associated with their physical counterparts (representing marriage certificates, deeds, wills, birth, death, and tax records) in the Infolinx WEB software. Though the physical record itself may be requested when necessary, now when public patrons search the archives’ holdings via the Infolinx application, links to existing scanned images are displayed, providing instant access to the desired information. By eliminating the physical record request, retrieval, and re-file process, not only are historically valuable records protected, the integrated solution saves times for both the patron and the archives staff.
“The user-friendly interface coupled with the robust searching capability of the Infolinx WEB software enables patrons to quickly and easily identify the records they desire,” commented Tim Butler, Managing Director of Infolinx. “While the integration points into the Laserfiche repository provide them with the specific information they need.”
