Infolinx Announces Gen II Radio-Frequency Identification Integration
Infolinx Records Management Software Incorporates Gen II RFID at Clerk of Courts
(Kensington, MD) August 23, 2010– Infolinx System Solutions, a leading provider of physical records management software and business services, completed the integration of its Infolinx WEB software with the new industry standard Gen II Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology at the Montgomery County Clerk of Courts in Pennsylvania. The Clerk of Courts is the clerk of the criminal court and retains custody of all original cases.
The Infolinx WEB solution is a feature-rich, enterprise class, native physical records management application, requiring only a contemporary web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer. Appealing to records management and IT professionals, written in Microsoft’s latest .Net environment, Infolinx WEB provides a secure and scaleable solution.
“The integration of Gen II RFID into our records management solution is an exciting development for the industry and in particular, for our clients” said Chip Benson, Director of Business Development for Infolinx System Solutions. “As is almost always the case, the standardization of technology, in this instance RFID, results in greater product dependability and decreasing costs, which in turn, benefit the customer.”
Infolinx is among the first in the industry to apply Gen II RFID technology to records management. Using passive, 915 MHz UHF tags, in conjunction with fixed RFID readers, end-users may effortlessly check-in/check-out multiple files simultaneously. Additionally, the time required to find missing files or perform record inventories is greatly reduced via the use of the portable RFID reader.
The RFID-enabled Infolinx solution is available as an upgrade for existing Infolinx clients as well as a new implementation to potential customers.
