Applications for New Membership
.
NTSC will start accepting applications for new memberships on:
Saturday, September 17th, 10:00 a.m.
Whistlers Restaurant, 995 Broadview Ave., 2nd Floor
Last year's membership fee was $145 and is expected to be unchanged, subject to ratification by the membership at the September Annual General Meeting.
How do I obtain an application form?
The application form is now available on the club web site www.ntsc.ca. It is fillable on-line. Once you have completed the form, please print off a hard copy and bring it with you to New Member Sign-up Day. Blank Application forms will also be available at New Member Sign-up.
We do not accept mailed-in new member applications We apologize for the inconvenience, but we don't accept mailed-in new member applications.
Applications may only be submitted in person or by proxy If for some reason you can't attend on Sign-up Day, the application and payment may be submitted for you by a proxy (friend, relative, spouse, significant other, etc.)
Expect a line-up New members are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and the Club usually sells out New Member Sign-up Day. If you are planning to line up early, Whistler's will be open at 9:00 if you would like to purchase a coffee or breakfast.
Why a line-up? The simple answer is so we don't exceed our membership cap. We allocate only as many coupons as we have spaces left after our returning member renewal signup period ends. The coupons are distributed (one for each application form) until we hit our cap (i.e. ...... run out of coupons). Old fashioned, perhaps, but it works. Once you have a coupon, you are basically in the club. We'll start the sign-up process at 10:00am promptly, but may start handing out the coupons earlier if it's a really big line up, so you can go inside and grab a seat in the restaurant until 10:00...or if it's cold or raining.
Bringing along additional applications for a spouse or friend?Ask for one coupon per application.
If you wish to bring along additional applications for a spouse or friend, the applications (maximum 5) will be accepted only if the forms are signed by the applicant(s) and accompanied by payment.
If you bring more than one application please be sure to let the NTSC volunteer handing out the coupons know so you will be given one coupon for each application, up to a maximum of five (5).
Payment Please complete and sign the application form. If paying by cheque, make your cheque payable to North Toronto Ski Club in full. We also accept Visa and MasterCard.More information will be included in weekly e-mails and on NTSC's web site www.ntsc.ca over the next few weeks.
