Knowledge. Is it what we want or what others
want for us?!
As we go through life, people are always trying to give us "their
spin" on what is happening or did happen. Often we form our opinions on the
beliefs of one person. It is then your job to determine if they
have your best interest in mind or are they out for themselves.
How often do we
take the time to research a topic for ourselves and gain knowledge? Part of the
problem is that we think our opinion does not matter or will not make a
difference and of course, it does.
Dunn Wellness Center would like to provide you with
information to make knowledgeable decisions about your health through health talks, information in our newsletters, links on our facebook and twitter pages and through one-on-one care in our office.
In February, our Tuesday health talk
explored whether it is worth it to be sweet and discovered that there are
several foods that we would never have imagined that were made with sugar. This March
is National Nutrition Month. Join us to discover ways to save on your
healthcare costs. This talk will also focus on the importance of reading food
labels and why it is important to know who makes the food that we eat. In addition, we are
also going to be showing the movie Food Inc. at the office on the Friday (March
12th) following the talk. Dunn Wellness is asking patients to come
enjoy this free viewing and donate food items to BEAM. More information to follow. We hope you will continue your health journey and make knowledgeable and positive decisions to make a difference in your life and in the lives of others.

indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
