October is Chiropractic Month and around Dunn Wellness Center that's a big deal!

specials! Themes for the week include flu prevention and treatment, brain boosters, weight & hormones and Pilates (which we now offer at the Dunn Wellness Center!).

Improve your memory and focus by learning about foods, vitamins and herbs will boost your brain functioning! Understand what Craniosacral Therapy is and its benefits for your mind.With school back in session, the brain is a getting a
workout! This talk is geared for adults as well as children.
Oct. 20th - Weight & Hormonal Imbalances

weight we see in our society and that hormones imbalances may play a
part in achieving our weight goals? The Ideal Protein Weight Management Program is
the latest service that we have added in order to help you reach your wellness
potential. Hear firsthand from some of our staff members that have been on this
program and averaged 3-5 pounds of loss per week!
Oct. 27th - Anatomy & Pilates; A Deep Look at Integration
Kristine Morrison, Certified Pilates Instructor
This two hour workshop will use video and instruction to help you discover a deeper
understanding of your own anatomy. We will focus on the lower body,
looking at integrative musculature from the foot through the diaphragm. Open dialogue and discussion is encouraged, as we will periodically break from
the video to explore some Pilates mat exercises and incorporate the pictures/video you see into sensation based knowledge/understanding. We will also discuss the latest research that supports Pilates as a treatment option for cancer! Please
arrive dressed appropriately to do some Pilates and watch video, listen to lecture and dialogue (layers are recommended) and bring a yoga mat if
you have one.
Please Note: The video that will be used is by Dr. Ackland (Ackland's Atlas of
Human Anatomy) and uses unembalmed human specimens to illustrate anatomical
structures.
