Choose Your Words, Choose Your Health

Dr. Marcus Kampfe
Have you ever taken the time to truly think about what a word means? Let me start off by giving an analogy. We go to a restaurant and get a burger and we say, "That was awesome!"  Next, you go to a movie and you say, "That was awesome!"  Finally, you say that God is awesome. But is each of these things truly awesome or do they compare to one another? In the analogy given, God was reduced to a burger and a movie. Yet we constantly find ourselves mis-using words. This is because as a society we have become numb to words and the grandness behind them. This little analogy begins to diminish the value of the words we use.

You are probably asking - what does this have to do with health? According to Dr. Masaru Emoto the words we use have more of an impact on our physiology then one would think. Words are powerful and can be used for two things: building people up or tearing them down. This also can be done with words that we do not even verbalize out loud.

The emotional toxins that result from not looking at the impact of our words need to be dealt with before addressing health toxins. Our emotions are the core of who we are and will eventually create larger health concerns when over looked. This is why it is critical to evaluate the words that each of us are using. You may discover that you are promoting dis-ease in yourself and relationships, rather than wellness.

Hamstring Stretch: 2 Ways
First Way(as shown)

hamstring

  1. Sit on the floor with one leg out straight and the other one bent
  2. Extend your arms and reach forward by bending at the waist as far as possible while keeping your knee straight.
  3. Hold this position for 10 seconds.
  4. Relax.
  5. Repeat with other leg.

Second Way

  1. Another low stress hamstring stretch is to lie back on the floor with the buttocks against a wall at a corner or by a door jamb.
  2. Keeping one leg on the floor, place the foot of the alternate leg against the wall and try to gently push the knee straight so raised leg and the leg on the floor make a 90 degree angle.
  3. Hold the position for 10 to 20 seconds.
  4. Repeat with other leg.

This stretch is only a suggestion and you should see a doctor if you are experiencing pain.

Eliminate Toxins through Cleansing
detox

In the month of June, the health focus will be on eliminating toxins in the body through cleansing.

Detoxifying with herbs and nutrients helps the cells to move more freely.  When cells move freely the body is allowed to function as it was designed so optimal health can be achieved.

The body will tell you when it is time to cleanse. When you have pain, it your body's way of asking for attention. Often pain is a sign that toxins have built up in the cells and damage is occurring in the tissues.

Once the body has adapted to daily detoxifying, then an individual can begin to target a specific area to detox, such as the digestive system, bowels, liver, etc.

According to Dr. Mercola, trillions of beneficial bacteria live in the gut, which provides 80% of your immune function.

Cleansing should be done 2 -4 times a year, but varies based upon the health limitations and conditions of the individual. It is important that each person listens to their body and takes note of how the body is functioning.

Here is a simple cleanse to get you started. It is great for beginners and those on medications!

Simple Cleanse
2 Tbs. Aloe Vera Juice or Noni
2 Tbs. Liquid Chlorophyll
1 Tsp. of high quality fiber blend
Mix in 10 oz. of Organic Fruit Juice such as Apple, Pear, or Pineapple
Complete for 1-3 months.
