Law librarian makes a legal fashion statement in FayetteKathy Kelly, an Erie law librarian, has developed a recycling method so unique, she's seeking a patent.
Kelly makes purses and laptop computer cases from the covers of outdated law books and other volumes.
Her work, called BookBags, will be on display in the Fayette County
Law Library beginning next month. She is the March artist of the month

 While it is always a good idea to make the most of your electronic resource subscriptions by adding MARC records to your library's catalog, it may be especially important to highlight them if you are cutting back on print materials.
Why not promote your library's electronic resource subscriptions by adding high-quality MARC21 records to your catalog? Your users will find the hits for these electronic resources right alongside the print versions or, in some cases, in lieu of them.

The CRIV Sheet is always a good read, but we at Cassidy are especially excited to read the article entitled: "Collaborative Experience: Cataloging Projects with Cassidy Cataloguing" in the February 2010 edition (page 7).
This article, written by Paula Tejeda, Charleston School of Law; Gordon Russell, Duncan School of Law, Lincoln Memorial University; and Joni Cassidy highlights the positive side of working with a vendor (it's not a dirty word!). Many of our biggest projects have come from simple suggestions and we at Cassidy are always excited to embark on a project which could ultimately benefit the law library community as a whole!
