If you're a CCH electronic resources
subscriber, you know that Wolters Kluwer is moving the content from its
three-engine search interface to the new IntelliConnect
interface.
The
Cassidy Cataloguing staff has been working hard to morph our existing MARC21 catalog records for CCH electronic resources to represent AND link with the new IntelliConnect version of the content.
Here
are just a few highlights :

The TABS disappeared and titles
moved to one Browse Tree. But, the
catalog records let the end-user perform title searches! No need to guess
where on the Browse Tree a title might be.

Deep-Linking!
Our URLs take you directly to
the content, NOT to another log-in screen.

Titles
changed, and we've changed the catalog records
to match!

Titles
were deleted and new material was added.
We corrected all the records, AND
links within the records!

HeinOnline Provider-Neutral Upgrade Available Now!

Cassidy is now offering an alternative set of MARC21 records for HeinOnline's "World Trials Library" that conform to the new Provider-Neutral guidelines for e-monographs recently approved by The Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC). Click here to see the full report.
It is important to note that the Provider-Neutral format is meant to REPLACE the "reproduction format" described in the footnote of LCRI 1.11A. According to the Task Group Report cited above, OCLC will be "neutralizing" these records by removing fields which were formerly used to distinguish multiple instances of an e-monograph, such as field 533.
