April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
The month of April has been designated Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in the United States. The goal of OTT-NOW is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities, individuals, and professionals on services available within the Nowata-Osage-Washington County service area to prevent and respond to sexual violence.
Through this event, OTT-NOW will introduce our project, our partners and bring together resources and information regarding the prevalence of sexual assault within our community, reporting of sexual assault, performance of SANE procedures, and legislative updates impacting sexual violence cases.
