Thank you to everyone who attended the Bartlesville Regional United Way Victory Celebration. We had the honor of celebrating our 5th year in a row of successful campaigns thanks to our loyal contributors. Many United Ways across the country did not share in our ability to celebrate and as a result may have to cut funding to the programs they support. We are so grateful to not be faced with that task. The needs in our community have increased dramatically over the past year and the new year greets us with many uncertainties as our city, county and state government struggle with financial shortfalls that effect many of the social service providers in our community. With the greater demand on these services, this should add up to another challenging year for our local non-profit organizations. Thanks to the core missions of United Way member agencies the services that provide a safe place for children, food, clothing, basic medical care, emergency shelter and other basic needs are available! Volunteer support is just as important as financial support. Your skills and talents could be put to good use for everyday office support, special events, serve as a board member or special projects. If you have the time please contact an agency, visit volunteerbartlesville.com or call the United Way office. We can help put you in the direction that best fits your abilities and interests! |

BRUW is looking for volunteers! Are you interested in Volunteering for your United Way? We are always looking for individuals to participate on our committees. Most of the meetings take place during normal business hours so a flexible schedule is a must. Volunteers review the grant requests and ultimately decide how community investment funding will be allocated. This is a great way to get involved with your United Way and see first hand the needs of our community and the impact your investment makes. Please email Marice with your name, contact information, your volunteer interests and a little bit about yourself or just call the United Way office at 336-1044. | |
