Clifton, September 24, 2008:  Sax Macy Fromm & Co., PC, one of New Jersey's largest single-office accounting and consulting firms, held their 4th annual Bankers Breakfast seminar.  The event was attended by members of the banking community.  "At this year's event we had an unprecedented attendance," stated presenter Robert Paz, CPA.
 
The seminar was held at the Hanover, Marriott, Whippany, New Jersey, and was opened by Managing Director Stuart Berger.  "Working together with the banking community, we can help our clients and each other through this difficult economic environment and continue to thrive," stated Berger.  The presenters covered topics related to: 

• FASB 157 - Fair Value Measurement
• FIN 48 - Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes
• FAS 158 - Accounting for Defined Benefit Pension Plans
• Proposed Statement - Disclosure of Certain Loss Contingencie

The presenters at this year's event were: 

• Robert Paz, CPA - Bob is the firm's Principal and Director of the Construction Services Team.  Bob has been with the firm for 27 years.  Bob has significant knowledge and expertise in the construction area which has enabled him to be a value to our construction niche clients.
• Henry Fuentes, MBA, CPA, ABV, CFE - Hank has been with the firm for over 12 years and has over 40 years experience in the accounting field.  Hank has significant experience in the area of Litigation and Business Valuation, as well as being a tenured graduate and undergraduate accounting professor for over 30 years. 
• Albert Traverso, CPA - Al is a manager and has more than 15 years of accounting experience.  Al's experience is extensive with an expertise in the areas of Manufacturing, Distribution and Not-for-Profit.
