No Accident As Omar gave me a full morning's tour of the grounds at the Mission's new location, I was awestruck and filled with such joy upon seeing how much good has been accomplished since my last visit, four short years ago. In Paynesville, the Mission had a couple of small buildings on less than an acre, with the ability to serve about 20 children. But now! From St. Michael's church to St. Anthony's school to the children's dormitories to the water tower, to the acres upon acres of vegetables to the "football" field to the chickens and the three "little" pigs, etc. . . This development was obviously well thought out and was carried out by devoted laborers and benefactors. This didn't just happen by accident. |
The Children But what makes this place so special, so beautiful, is the children that the Mission serves. I believe that the number of orphans living at the Mission has quadrupled since 2004 and the number of children attending the school is well over 140. Everything that has been and is being built is ordered to one end: allowing each of these children to live a fully human and Christian life. These children are learning to read and write, are learning to work the fields, are learning to love Jesus. Indeed, the Liberia Mission is something beautiful for God!
