Mission Honduras International
Greetings!
On Monday, August 20th, we sent a 40 ft. container to Liberia Mission.  The shipment consisted of 23,000 lbs of food, clothing, medicine, tools, books, furniture, religious articles, sewing machines, and school supplies.  When I say "We" I am talking about you and me because the shipment would never have been possible without support from many, many supporters like you.  I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this effort.  Some of you shipped needed items to Chicago; other supplies were purchased with funds donated to the Mission Liberia Match.  Then, all these goods were assembled and packed by volunteers in Chicago.  If you would like to see pictures of the work in progress, click here .  (I'm the one behind the camera!)

A special thanks to the Chicago volunteer packing crew (who worked all summer on this); especially Tom Teeling and his children Clair and Tom, Phil Kaczynski, Sue Dewan and her son Jason, and many others.  I would also like to thank Greg Pierce of ACTA Publications for loaning us his building space, and Great Lakes Printers for help with dock facilities & fork lift with driver.  Finally, I would like to thank Joanie Fabiano our executive director, who did a lion's share of the work; without her, this would never have been possible.

Please join me in praying that this container shipment reaches it's destination in Liberia intact.  If you would still like to help with the cost of this shipment, you may donate on-line; www.missionhonduras.com. Or you may send a check to Mission Honduras International at the address below.  Please be sure to put Liberia Container on the comment or memo line.

If you already donated cash, you will receive a tax letter in January.  If you need a tax letter for your donation of supplies or goods, send a description or receipt via email or regular mail, and Joanie Fabiano will send you a letter to acknowledge your donation.

23,000 pounds, wow!  A lot of people let the Lord work through them to come up with 23,000 pounds.

God Bless you all,

Bob O'Dwyer
