Wringing Simplicity from the Complex
Website HomepageIt's about simplicity in connections and information. It is about being there for the customer in the manner that it is called upon. It is dynamic yet predictable; it is complex in its approach to being clear. It is our new website.

Our first goal was to make it very easy for first time or repeat visitors to communicate with us. With fast contact forms to the left of the page, and along the top menu no one will have to hunt for an email address or contact form. Additionally if you would like to connect specifically with your areas territory manager or customer service representative our "Find a Sales Rep" box asks only for your zip code so that we can point you immediately to the parties you are interested in. One last important point is the "Let's Talk Live" button at the bottom of each page. Can't find what you're after, or have a question you'd like answered immediately, click on this button and you'll find someone waiting to chat live with you through our Workface API.

The Roller Coaster Ride
Roller coasterThe great recession found a lot of dealerships thinning their rental fleets, divesting themselves of those pieces that were "extra", or "fringy" in demand. Times were tough, equipment was coming home to roost and there didn't seem to be any hope that things would improve anytime soon.

Then as they always do, they did, catching many flat footed.

Does Form Match the Function?
Tech and ClipboardOK, it's a really slow day and you're reviewing the planned maintenance your forklifts are receiving. You've set aside a little time to address the increasing cost of maintaining your fleet and you're wondering just what the root cause might be.

There are many variables that might be in play, operator training and experience as well as supervision [a whole topic in itself], the operating conditions your lifts have to work in, the amount of hours they're being used, and of course the maintenance they receive.

Does a Seat Matter?
SeatsI get an opportunity sometimes to sit in on informational meetings generally reserved for our sales staff. A peak at the sexy side shall we call it, being made privy to all the excitement and glamor available over there down the clean shiny hallways of equipment sales. To be honest I don't feel compelled to, having seen the "proof in the pudding" shall we say, working closely every day with numbers and anecdotal information supporting the superiority of the Toyota product to the competition.

When Pallet Racking May Be a Better Fit
RackingHere is a scenario... The ABC Company started their business in 2006 with all materials easily stored on the floor or in shelving units that weren't taller than 8 feet.  As the years passed ABC grew. Now they have pallets stacked in front of shelving, pallets stacked in front of pallets and pallets lining all the walls.  It has become a complete nightmare to retrieve the parts needed to fulfill an order.

Skip ahead to 2012... The building hasn't changed and the space from the top of the 8 foot shelving to the 20 foot ceiling was free unused space.  With the assistance of a material handling partner, ABC Company incorporated pallet racking and carton flow into the organization of the materials in their warehouse.

Organization is a true accomplishment and if done right with the right partner, the transition can be manageable.  When it comes to finding the solution, it can be one item like pallet racking or a combination of several different components like pallet racking, carton flow and conveyor. Depending on the product and the product flow through your facility, your options are endless.
