Price, Quality, Service - Take All Three

Quality products are something people demand.  Most manufacturers claim to have high quality products, but many fail to deliver.  The demands for lower prices and cost cutting can displace quality.  Manufacturers are faced with decisions on components.  Do they build the very best, or one that is marginal and less expensive?

The relationship between what people are willing to pay for and what a manufacturer can effectively market is complex.  Marketing and manufacturing experts toil daily over what the correct decision is for their company. But what happens when a manufacturer thinks it is building the best, the market agrees, and still a quality issue arises?  We are about to find out how Toyota handles the multi-million automobile recall.

Toyota forklift customers here in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin should know they are backed up by both an aggressive factory as well as an award winning dealership.  All machines will have a problem sooner or later.  How the manufacturer and the dealer respond will determine their fates.  If you are a Toyota Lift of Minnesota customer, please rest assured knowing you have large financially sound companies dedicated to quality and the environment as your partners.

RiveTier Shelving: Tough, Fast and Economical
Let's face it: putting together your shelving shouldn't require an engineeringShelving degree. RiveTier boltless shelving is the solution.
The boltless connections make it quick and easy to assemble, take down, and reassemble - using only a rubber mallet. Not only does it assemble in minutes, it's actually 30% less expensive to assemble than bolted shelving, and 40% lower overall cost.

In 1968, RiveTier I was introduced as a replacement for frame systems. Made out of metal and lumber, with slotted angles and heavy-duty upright parts engineered left to right, this system was ready to take on the world.

Over time this model was updated, tested, and finally reproduced as RiveTier II: the next generation of groundbreaking boltless shelving. Manufactured from the same high quality steel as RiveTier I, its premium design offers momentous advantages:
  • Common T-posts serve as an economical starter or adder system
  • Mitred beams reduce the number of parts-eliminating the need for separate left-to-rights (LR's) and front-to-backs (FB's).
  • Low cost units
  • Heavy duty posts available for catwalk systems
  • Four beam styles handle all capacity requirements
  • Assembles faster than metal shelving and requires no sway braces
  • An ideal replacement for metal shelving

Being the only Minnesota company that stocks RiveTier shelving parts, American Warehouse Systems has a knowledgeable staff that is able to assist with the options that accompany this great product.  With particle board, wire grating, melamine, and metal shelving, as decking options, you can make the shelving fit your application. Setting up the shelving to handle specialty items such as; tires, clothing, bins and retail goods, is part of the flexibility of the RiveTier design. From general storage to the heaviest of industrial applications, we've got you covered.

Good Listening: Key to a good maintenance call
We've touched on listening before in our blog posts. In this post I wanted toProcedure Screen Print point out the bullet points our technicians are given in how to approach you the customer during a planned or emergency maintenance call. These are essential tools for communication, and were originally gleaned from one of the e-learning classes our new hires are exposed to, and our vetrans are tested on.

Parts Department
Why are your part guys so nosey?
SeatAll you want is a stinking seat after all. You've been sitting on what remains of yours for a couple of years now, this after picking away at the stuffing to the point where you're down to the frame.

You call into parts finally resigned to spend the capital to return to comfort. You tell the gentleman on the phone that you have a Toyota 7FGCU15 and immediately you're pressed for the serial number. Then he goes on with the third degree asking you all sorts of questions about it. "It's just a seat man" you exclaim, but he insists.

"My word man you respond!" How hard can it be all I want is a seat after all, it's not like we're doing brain surgery?

You can contact our parts people via email parts@toyotaequipment.com, or visit any of our part pages and find a link to our parts contact form
