Notes to Myself
* Are you easily overwhelmed by such
things as bright lights, strong smells,
coarse fabrics, or sirens nearby?
* Do you get rattled when you have a lot
to do in a short amount of time?
* Do you make a point of avoiding violent
movies and TV shows?
* Do you need to withdraw during busy
days, into bed or a darkened room or some
other place where you can have privacy and
relief from the situation?
* Do you make it a high priority to
arrange your life to avoid upsetting or
overwhelming situations?
* Do you notice or enjoy delicate or fine
scents, tastes, sounds, or works of art?
* Do you have a rich and complex inner life?
* When you were a child, did your parents
or teachers see you as sensitive or shy?
When a friend recommended the book, "The Highly Sensitive Person" I was relieved to see all the attributes of my own sensitivities listed in a book. I took the opportunity to review my childhood and could identify that I was always a really sensitive child. I had digestive issues and a congenital heart defect that kept me in pain most of my life. As I grew up and explored my spirituality my issues got better to the point of being non existent with meditation, relaxation diet and walking. Sensitivity was not valued in my family's home. They felt it was important to always be on the go. Being a highly sensitive person means our nervous systems are more fragile than the average person. Too much stimuli overwhelms us. I can see so many of the same characteristics in the Indigo and Crystal children. I can totally relate to what they are feeling and going through. I feel that as we advance spiritual and clear out all the emotional, mental and physical clutter we become more and more attuned to our surroundings, consciousness and environmental effects. We purify our being and what was there all along becomes to harsh for us to handle because we are in the Universal flow. With a few small modifications in the environment and lifestyle can totally improve a highly sensitive beings experience.Here are a few suggestions. If you are planning one big thing for the day make sure before or after you have quiet time. Make a point that there is quiet time in the home without TV or radio on. Take time to meditate, sit quietly or take a walk around the block. Pay attention to what you are eating and the effect it has on your body. When you have a feeling of anxiety, racing thoughts, or tension in the body from too much stimuli breath through it and make an effort to calm and relax your body until you can get home and relax in a quiet part of your home. Listen too soothing music. Use spiritual hygiene techniques to clear the energy you pick up from others. Take time to be alone with talking to anyone else, listen to your own thoughts or clear your mind of all thoughts and connect with your heart. Being kind to ourselves by listening to our needs totally helps the highly sensitive person. The above recommendations are excellent for yourself and to use/teach your children. From the beginning of the year I played peaceful new age music in my classroom. We set the tone for a quiet relaxed environment and the entire school year has been excellent. We've been very respectful of each other, calm and relaxed. Set the tone for your environment. Honor yourself and others. |

class will be unique to the energy of the
group and what is needed in the moment.
Connecting with your Angels Workshop Saturday, April 26 10:00-12:00 Cost $20 Experience a guided angel meditation. Discover the ways angels can assist you in gaining clarity, healing physical and emotional issues, and finding balance in your life. Discover ways you can connect with the angels in positive and peaceful ways! Learn about the 7 Archangels, and receive an attunement to their color and ray! Indigo Parenting Class Thursday, April 17 6:30-8:00 Cost: $15 person/$25 per couple. Learn all about the Indigo/Crystal children, their attributes and characteristic and why they are being labeled as ADHD/ADD/Autistic, they tend to be non-conformist, highly spiritual and intuitive, quite intelligent, quick witted, think outside of the box, creative and tend to be highly frustrated and angry. The Crystal children are much more peaceful, less communicative, but very alert. Indigo/Crystal's tend to have a lot of allergies, issues with food and odd sleep patterns. I'll offer suggestions and answer any questions you may have. Reiki I Practitioner Class Tuesday & Thursday April 29, May 1, 6, 8 6:30-8:30 pm Cost $185 Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing. This class will attune you to being a channel for loving, peaceful energy that you can use to heal and balance yourself and others. Reiki is a method of channeling this energy through the palms of your hand by lightly placing them on yourself or someone else to bring a warm feeling that balances the emotional/mental/physical/spiritual bodies. There is no religious or spiritual belief necessary to be a practitioner or use this healing method. It will bring major positive changes in your life! The class will include the history of Reiki, hands on experience, guided meditations and attunements. Certificate and manual included. No prior experience or knowledge is necessary. Sensitivity
Dear God/Goddess,
I come into this moment whole and sovereign.
I ask that you assist me in quieting my
thoughts, relaxing my body and come into
communion with you.
My pure intent is to simplify my life so that I may be at peace and oneness every moment of every day. I know that I am sensitive. I honor my sacredness and allow myself to accept who I am. God/Goddess, please show me ways to make my life more peaceful, harmonious and congruent with the highest vision of myself. Please bring me people, places, situations and things that will benefit my sensitive nature and lifestyle. I am open to all good things flowing into my life and heart. And so it is. Amen. |
