It's my pleasure to invite you to join us for a Tour of a Forest Restoration Project. We have been working in Feltzen South since 2002.

 

Once a thriving old forest, its biggest trees were taken for logs by large machinery which only made matters worse. In the opening left behind the clearcut, the surrounding forest still suffers the "domino effect." After Hurricane Juan, massive numbers of trees fell in this weakened ecosystem, and continue to do so with each windstorm.
