OFFICER GREETING!

Dear SEN Members,

SAM_2010
This is wrapping up a month that went way too quickly. Many of you know my daughter EmLee is getting married on the last Saturday, and this really tests planning for an event that needs to be perfect but very much go with the flow. In the back of my head, our beer tasting event lurks. It has come to a halt.

Our other fund raisers have been far from successful, so we are hoping to make a little money on this event. We chose to hire an event planner. In reviewing the offerings of the brewery, the planner and I came up with a price we thought was fair. Unfortunately, no one else on the board agrees. We can not move forward until everyone agrees.

Meanwhile, we want to continue to offer our members great meetings with a great lunch and speakers that focus on social media to make your businesses successful.

See you at the next meeting,

 "Beer Tasting ...

Growler

It Isn't Just for Girls!"

Join SEN for a fun-packed evening, tasting the micro-brewed beers of Rock Bottom Brewery accompanied by music and networking.

Our theme is Not Just For Girls. I know I can ask my husband to this one. I believe he will enjoy it as I will. It is going to have food, lots of beer and a raffle. Get ready; it is going to be fun.

Set aside Thursday April 7, 2011, for some fun at the Rock Bottom Brewery at the Desert Ridge Mall from 5 to 8. We are also selling the 64-oz. Growler refill and you can fill it with your choice of beers.

It is for a good cause. Our network supports the growth of women in business and education. Your participation contributes to our effort. -- SAM Sites

How To Create Your Own Social Universe:

The MisKurt Wilhelmsing 90% to Getting Results!

by Kurt Wilhelm

The Social-Universe presentation will begin by creating context for the standard Social Media suite (Facebook, Fanpage, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and a Blog), and will explain why this standard suite only comprises 10% of a comprehensive Social Media program. The missing 90% is essential to create an effective Social Media program with measurable results.  Nearly all Social Media packages do not include this missing 90%, which often renders them useless. Come to this event and find out how your Social Media plan can become effective,  measurable, and even dominating.

Kurt Wilhelm is the CEO of the Social-Universe and the President of its sister company ISD Consulting. He is an accomplished Social Media Advertiser, combining the traditional forms of media within the Social Media platform.

What's new...

There are two new features in WIN courses designed to help job seekers.  One is "Resumes that Get Interviews" and the other "Interviews that Get Offers".  They are designed to support members jump start their career... and they are free of charge.

For this issue, I want to refer to an article from the District VI semi-annual communiqué called "Community of Aliveness" regarding the reasons you should recruit for ABWA:

·       To expand your group's network not just locally, but on the district and national level as well;

·       To enhance ABWA's reputation in your community;

·       To practice organizational leadership skills;

·       To achieve national recognition for yourself and for your group at district and national conferences;

·       To put into practice valuable team-building skills that will show tangible results;

·       And the number one reason is because any woman anywhere benefits by being part of a prestigious, dynamic, and innovative organization!

And with that, I urge you to invite a guest at the next meeting and encourage them to join this incredible group of women. ;)
