| OFFICER GREETING! | | |
The fall brings us closure on a number of worldwide of disasters. Even though our summer in Arizona was just another hot one, we can be thankful it was as boring as usual. I am sure the economy is the least of some people's problems throughout the world.
As we participate in our meetings at the Persian Room, let's continue to be grateful and bond to make our networking successful. I encourage you to meet and become friends with another SEN member at the next meeting and take home a new thought that brings your business more success from our speaker.
This month our luncheon is increased by one dollar. We do not want to impact you with too much of an increase, but we do have to build up our funds which are not where they should be.
We also are working on our fund raiser and still looking for a cause. Dontella has invited Nancy Grothaus of Homeward Bound as a potenial charity to support. We are looking for your ideas as well.
Here's to Having a Good Year,
Your President SAM

Enhancing SEN Networking
Through Online Resources
presented by SEN Board
There are a number of websites created just for our group, and when used, improve all of our chances for a better networking experience. Scottsdaleexpress.org lists our members, has a membership application on it and offers the ability to register for future meetings. SAMventer.com allows you to share the meetings with guests you would like to invite. And, last but not least, is ABWA.org and the WIN (Women's Instructional Network) site. As a member of ABWA, you have tools that only YOU as a member can use once you login.
As your president, as well as a webmaster, I know that we can make ScottsdaleEpress.org more user friendly. If you have suggestions, be ready to share them at the meeting.

You Know Our Mission, Come Hear Our Vision
Most are familiar with ABWA's mission statement, but what about ABWA's vision for the future? They are not one in the same. While the mission defines our core values as an organization, it is our vision of where we are headed that determines what actions are necessary on our part to drive ABWA's future successes.
Join us at our National Conference in Chattanooga and hear Executive Director René Street and National President Casey Coven share their collective thoughts on ABWA's vision and what their hopes are for ABWA's near and distant future. Through their message to the membership, the Association's migration to unprecedented collaboration within the ABWA family will become obvious. It's this collaboration that will allow ABWA's star to shine brighter than ever.
Featured Presentations include:
- The Watercoolers will provide the soundtrack for this year's Best Practices Ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 28th;
