The Ecology of Transformation
presented by Joyce C. Mills, Ph.D.

JoyceMIlls"When you know where you are, you'll know where you're going." Award-winning author of seven books, including Butterfly Wisdom and Reconnecting to the Magic of Life, Dr. Joyce C. Mills shows how we can discover exactly where we are in the process of change, how to overcome obstacles placed in our path, ultimately discovering how to live a balanced and joyful life.

In her uniquely captivating and spirited style, internationally recognized speaker, storyteller, author, and healer, Dr. Joyce creatively combines science, spirit, and metaphor showing how each of the four passages of the butterfly's development mirrors our inner journey and quest for full-winged emergence. Significant to her process, Dr. Joyce will share how the scientific secret of the butterfly's transformation relates to our inner gifts, skills, and soulful resources.

OFFICER GREETING!

Dear SEN Group,

SAM_2010This will be my first meeting as President of the group and I am proud to represent you. We had our first board meeting and set some goals which I will talk about.

(1) T
o become a 501(c)6 which is a business league.  We are working on an online raffle. We will make a big package of donated items and raffle it off. We will be looking for these items. We will also be looking for a charitable cause. We will split the proceeds with that cause.  Filing for our 501 (c)6 makes us look more professional even though it is no longer required.

(2) To attract 25 for lunch. We have been struggling with 20. We need to come up with incentives to get more guests and to get our members to come to the lunches.

(3) To increase our membership. And with our members feedback, we can find the right incentives to get more members by sharing ideas at lunch on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

(4) Our last goal is to make our networking meetings time well spent so much so that we want to share it with everyone.

The national theme for this year is "Leading with Vision." Our SEN board decided to add to that with "and Fun."   Let's make it happen!

Having a Good Year,

SAM S Sites

I Want More Clients Now!
presented by Loretta Love Huff

Loretta Love HuffDo you need more clients? Better clients? Do you feel like you're spinning your wheels with your marketing efforts? Would you like to make more money with less effort?

People in many businesses get the best results from active, time-dependent marketing strategies such as outreach, networking and referral-building rather than passive, money-dependent strategies such as advertising. Assess the effectiveness of your current approach and refine it to land new clients in this hands-on, interactive workshop.

Enhancing SEN Networking
Through Online Resources
presented by SEN Board

There are a number of websites created just for our group, and when used, improve all of our chances for a better networking experience. Scottsdaleexpress.org lists our members, has a membership application on it and offers the ability to register for future meetings.

SAMventer.com allows you to share the meetings with guests you would like to invite.

And, last but not least, is ABWA.org and the WIN (Women's Instructional Network) site. As a member of ABWA, you have tools that only YOU as a member can use once you login.

As your president, as well as a webmaster, I know that we can make ScottsdaleEpress.org more user friendly. If you have suggestions, be ready to share them at the meeting.

GRANT RECIPIENT 2010

 Thank you!

My fellow members of Scottsdale Express Network:

I would like to thank you all so very much for the grant I received through the ABWA organization. There is so much for a person to learn in this day and age and the need and want for continued educationcan be very draining on the finances. Through organizations like ABWA, women are given the opportunity to achieve success for the goals and call they have in life. I am very appreciative for the grant.

Graduation will be in May 2011 and I can already see that brightly burning light of my future.

Many Thanks,

Lauri Hasler

ANNUAL HUNGER KNOWS NO SEASON FOOD DRIVE
HKNS_2010You made a difference!

I wanted to thank everyone who contributed to the Hunger Knows No Season campaign this year.

We did not quite make our goal, but I know the food bank appreciates everything they get.

Scottsdale Express Network contributed $30, 17 cans of tuna, and 5 jars of peanut butter. This may not sound like a lot, but $30 will feed over 200 people. So we helped and some people are better off because of us.

Thanks again.
