Transition in Reverse

While the transition movement of going from chemically relaxed hair to natural hair is growing by leaps and bounds, I am having a different experience with my nieces. After being natural all their lives, they have decided for various reasons, to choose other options. What's an Auntie to do? The first thing I had to do is realize I had a double standard when it came to my nieces and observe and accept their Transition in Reverse.

Trini Braids A Summer Classic
The Atlantic Avenue Extravaganza was a lovely day in Brooklyn. It was warm, sunny, and plenty of people came from near and far to take it the scene. We had a great white wine sangria that quenched my thirst and it was great so see people supporting the merchants on Atlantic Avenue. We had a beautiful model Keshia, who sported our summer classic, Trini style and greeted our guests. So lovely!

Our Garden 
One of the perks of our current location is that it has a small garden space. And as anyone from the city can tell you, having access to any piece of nature in NYC is a precious commodity. I know, I know, it's been way too hot to think of sitting outside for a lunch or snack break. Thankfully the temperatures are returning to normal.
