On The Move
As you may have noted, summer is marching on by. And we are just a few short weeks away from the date of our relocation. Hopefully by now everyone's heard or seen that we're making a move to 400 Atlantic Avenue come August. We are building out the new space as I write this. If any of you have been through any type of construction project you know that things aren't always done exactly in the time frame you imagined.
That said, it is our plan to start doing business in our new space starting Wednesday August 17th. We will be closed for business Sunday August 14th and Tuesday August 16th. All appointments before the 14th date will be serviced at the 327 Gold Street location. We assure you that we don't plan to skip a beat and we are looking forward to you keeping in lockstep with us as we transition into our new home.

Trove
Anu & Sharon
My friend Sharon Pendana is a unique, brilliant and talented sister who is always such a pleasure to spend time and space with. I first met Sharon many years ago on a photo shoot with Essence. Sharon is a fashion stylist extraordinaire. But in recent years she's been sharing with us her dynamic gift of writing. I was honored when she decided to include me in her treasure 'Trove' of people in her world. She's profiled me in a way that makes me feel especially blessed and humbled by her brilliant telling of my life's story. Anu in The Trove

A Reluctant Farewell
Recently we learned that one of our clients made her transition. This is something we never expect. We connect with our clients, service them and interact in a way that says we look forward to seeing them next time. We never think that there may not be a next time. I did not really know Cheryl Coxx personally, but I'm told she was delightful, and sweet, loving and infectious personality. She was always smiling and being playful with our staff. We will definitely miss her here at Khamit Kinks and we she will always be remembered for the gift of light she brought through our doors over the years. Rest in Peace Cheryl. |

Though we're barely into summer I am already preparing for my fall look. I've have Locs three times now and I'm considering a fourth time. To lock again or not, that is the question I keep asking myself... To Loc Again or Not?
