Khamit Kinks Newsletter December 2009

As the year draws to a close and the holiday season sets in, we at Khamit Kinks give Thanks for your continued support and inspiration. Having loyal clients with high standards helps to keep us on our toes, stretching and leaping: but gracefully, like dancers! We hope that you'll head gracefully and gratefully into the New Year as well. To assist, this edition offers a great gift idea, an appointment tip, and a new newsletter feature. I also share the latest installment of my journey with A-Nu 'Fro and my excitement at being interviewed by one of my favorite media personalities. See you next year!

It's a great way to introduce someone to the Khamit Kinks experience.  Our gift card is also a way of giving someone exactly what they've wanted and needed, a visit to your favorite salon!  Khamit Kinks Gift Cards can be used for treatments, styles, and products.

Attitude of Gratitude

We must all try to remember what is essential in life. This Thanksgiving Holiday was unlike any I've had before.  I had the opportunity to consume a lot of food for thought around being grateful and giving Thanks... AnuEssentials

The Intrigue of the A-Nu 'Fro Continues
I've been going through it in terms of trying to decide exactly what I want to do with my hair.  Last month I was considering the Chaka Khan, this month I was going to commit to Sister Locks.  But the A-Nu 'Fro continues to intrigue me.  To learn more about what's required to rock this style and why this style some times acts up - Ask Anu

Nancy and me

Nancy and Anu

One of my all time favorite television programs is CBS Sunday Morning.  Each Sunday is like a treat for me as I look forward to the news, arts and special offerings the CBS Sunday Morning program is certain to present.  I delight in seeing one particular contributing producer, who is often on the show, the snarky Nancy Giles.  So imagine my excitement when Sunday Morning called to say that Nancy wanted to stop by Khamit Kinks and get my take on Good Hair. Nancy has her own take on things and like it or not, she's going to let you know in her offbeat manner how she feels about this and that.

From the time she walked through the door, Nancy's energy was apparent.  She has a vital and positive affect on those around her.  I was instantly put at ease when meeting the dynamic Ms. Giles.  Nancy has an upbeat and genuine sister-friend way of delivering her "points of view".  Not to mention, she's always sporting a head full of natural hair.  Now you know, I like that!

Nancy came in, got settled, and we proceeded to have a blast!  In person it's easy to see that Nancy's humor, openness and warmth is a natural gift and integral part of her personality.  We shared our views about Good Hair and our own hair.  The segment on our conversation will be airing one of these upcoming Sundays.  As of this writing CBS was unable to give me the exact date. But as soon as they let me know, I'll send out a blast so you can tune in and visit with Nancy and me on CBS Sunday Morning.
