Khamit Kinks Newsletter January 2009
 Greetings!

We sincerely hope that you're on a great start to this New Year!  Ever notice that less than a couple of days after New Years Day, most people stop saying, "Happy New Year"!? I try my best to hold on to that new possibility by offering a Happy New Year greeting through the entire month of January. Shucks, we still have eleven more months to go and we need all the positive wishes we can get.

This month we introduce to you a client who makes possibilities happen on a grand scale. We're also wondering: how will you celebrate this Presidential Inauguration and how will you be wearing your hair?

And as always, your referrals mean so much to us!

Andrea

Andrea Pritchett makes the perfect January profile. As we confront our goals and challenges at the beginning of a new year, we can be inspired by sisters such as Andrea. We think her initials must be: A for "adventure" and P for "pushing the envelope". She runs a popular fitness program here in New York City and once or twice each year kicks into high gear for a real-life endurance test that puts TV's "The Amazing Race" to shame.

Andrea is founder and director of Aquamoms, a pre-natal fitness program that gives expectant moms a safe but serious aerobic workout in the pool. Aquamoms has served thousands of women at pools in midtown Manhattan and in the Wall Street area. Midtown classes are currently held at the Sheraton Hotel on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 and are kept to a limit of eight students per class. The popular program helps mothers-to-be to gain strength, energy and flexibility. The water allows strain-free, total-body exercise in all trimesters and can help belly-weary moms feel a bit lighter.

Inaugural Hair

In all the decades that I've voted, never have I known personally anyone that attended a presidential inauguration. That was until now. Now it seems everyone I know is attempting to attend this historic inauguration or celebrate in some way that day! I mean, can you blame them? Not really.

There will be all kinds of celebrations, parties, balls, formal dinners and upscale affairs that folk will be attending. How will they wear their hair? I mean, one just can't show up looking ordinary, for goodness sake! You've got to pull out all the stops! Who knows, yours might just be the photo that ends up in some popular publication or online for millions to see, so you'd want to look your fabulous best! Some of us will be celebrating locally in our own towns. That's no reason not to kick it up a notch.

How will you add that sparkle to your look?  We have some suggestions for what we're calling "Inaugural Hair." First, have your hair freshly done. Don't go there with three inches of new growth. If you've had your hair done recently, you may consider a touch-up and/or a pin-up style. Another nice touch would be to add just-right ornaments, such as studded hair pins or a hint of glitter that will glimmer when you move. How will you be wearing your hair? Let us know at  AskAnu
