Junior Achievement's mission is to inspire children to learn about the free enterprise system, understand business economics and be workforce ready. Located in Owings Mills, Maryland, Junior Achievement's BizTown is an interactive 10,000 square foot miniature town designed to teach the growing importance of "real world" technology and communications. Through the authentic learning experience, students learn first-hand what it takes to create a business, produce a newspaper, supervise employees, and hold elected offices, as well as personally earn and manage money. All lessons are correlated to the Maryland Voluntary Standards.

Business Volunteers Unlimited (BVU) Maryland is a nonprofit organization committed to developing civic leaders. BVU trains and places professionals on nonprofit boards and offers guidance to companies on civic engagement and employee volunteer activities.

BVU's Volunteer Central is the primary resource for recruiting, developing and organizing volunteers in Greater Baltimore. Through our programs more than 30,000 people have helped strengthen hundreds of nonprofit organizations while serving our community.
