* Have you encountered aggressive/violent rider behavior such as hitting, pinching and biting directed toward the volunteers and/or the horses?
* Do you find yourself dealing with tantrums and meltdowns during your lessons?
* Do you have riders who are self-abusive?
This clinic will explore the causes and triggers of disruptive rider behaviors. Prevention and management strategies will be discussed and explained.
This is your opportunity to share experiences and problem-solve some of your most difficult behavior management situations.

Instructor Certification.
► PATH International Certified Instructors seeking continuing education hours and increased knowledge.
► Volunteers seeking more in-depth education and training.
► Anyone wishing to increase their knowledge and understanding of therapeutic riding and how they can participate in a riding program.

Anthony Busacca is a NARHA Master Level Instructor and Lead Evaluator for Registered and Advanced Level Certification. He is a former member of the NARHA Instructor Certification Committee, International Task Force and Education Task Force. He has over 21 years of experience in the field of therapeutic riding.
Joelle Devlin is a NARHA Master Level instructor and Lead Evaluator for Registered Level Certification. She is the former chair of the NARHA Riding Instructor Certification Sub-Committee and former member of the Certification Oversight Committee. She has over 18 years experience in therapeutic riding. |
