 Start With The End In Mind
Happy Labor Day to all my subscribers in the US and Canada. Beside signifying the end of summer, this holiday constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. We should all feel proud of the work we do! I love September! Even though my kids are grown, I think of September as a month to start fresh, develop healthy routines, set new goals, and take steps to create a great life. But it's hard to do that if we haven't taken the time to clarify exactly what it is we want to create. We must "start with the end in mind" by asking ourselves some tough questions such as:

Who do I want to be?
-
What results do I want to achieve?
-
How do I want to spend my time?
-
Why does this matter a lot to me, right now?
-
What challenges will I need to overcome?
-
What strengths and abilities will help me?
-
What do I need in my environment?
- Who can I get to support me?
As you reflect on these questions, paint a picture in your mind of the person you want to be and the life you want to create for you and your family. Then get to work and take the first step, a baby step, to bring your canvas to life!

Energy Challenge

What does your energizing, successful life look like?
Take fifteen to twenty minutes to sit quietly in a comfortable place and use a paper and pen, a journal, or computer to create a vision of your ideal life.
Write the date at the top of the page along with the following statement: "This is my energizing, successful life."
Pretend that you found a magic lamp and a genie has told you that you can live your ideal, energized, successful life.
Make your vision as real as possible, but dream big! And be sure to write what you want and not what you don't want!
When you are finished, read through your vision. Can you see the image of what you wrote in your mind? Can you feel or experience the image as if it were happening? Read through it often and feel free to make changes or add new ideas as you do!
