Art from Peter H. Reynolds' North Star Never-Ending Calendar

FableFriends,

Winter is a beautiful time here in New England - cold and snowy! We are digging ourselves out of snowdrifts every few days, and the winter chill reminds us to warm the hearts of the people in our lives.

If you've had a chance to browse our new catalog, you already know that "inclusion" is one of my favorite words. Check out this film version of my upcoming book, I'm Here. It's a gentle reminder that we're responsible for each other.

Keep warm this February, and remember to savor the journey as you share it with the ones you love!

Peter

Words
And Their Stories
Word
of the Month

In honor of the newly released FableVision Learning e-Catalog, February's word of the month is CATALOGUE.

The word catalogue is taken directly from the French, but it comes originally from the Greek prefix kata ("thoroughly, entirely") and the root legein, meaning "to count off one by one; to list." In the mid-1700s, two Scots named Bell and Macfarquhar set out to catalogue all human knowledge in a book. The result was the world's first encyclopedia.

Now you know that catalogue means "a detailed enumeration of items arranged systematically; to count, list, or organize in a systematic manner."
