A 4-week series with Nancy Kahn in July
The capacity for choice and inner freedom is the foundation of living life as you really want. This workshop is designed to support you in making choices based on what's important and meaningful to you despite fear of consequences.

Through engaging group discussions and structured exercises, this course further develops your basic fluency in NVC. The lessons are designed to retrain your nervous system to fully integrate a way of being that counters societal conditioning. Over the weeks, you'll develop your abilities to apply these principles in difficult circumstances and in daily life situations.

Half-day workshops with Newt Bailey - July 28, August 4 and 11

Come and experience Newt's unique approach to learning and deepening NVC. Open to all. Everyone can benefit - from those who've never heard of NVC to those who have decades of experience. Expect lots of practice in pairs, lots of laughter, and an emphasis on language free from jargon. Bring a friend and you'll have an instant practice partner to continue with after the workshop.

Tuesdays, 7pm-9:30pm, August 14th through September 18th, BayNVC office This series deeply develops your understanding of empathy and your ability to connect with yourself and others from compassion. Together we will learn to expand the possibility of compassion in challenging and sweet moments, and broaden awareness of how to choose empathy when triggered. We will practice speaking our deepest truths while showing care for other's needs. This series will blend didactic and experiential learning. |

This class has met my needs for peace in my day to day living, a sense of empowerment and flow in my communications, and continues to contribute deeply to my need to create a more loving and compassionate world. --- NVC student
Through a combination of engaging group discussions and practice time, you gain an understanding of the basic principles of NVC. These skills are useful at work, at school, with your family, in line at the grocery store, and anywhere else that you interact with people!

More Joy, Less Strife: An NVC Workshop for Couples

Our intimate relationships are so important to us, and yet sometimes we struggle to connect with our partners, struggle to understand them, struggle to express ourselves both authentically and lovingly. In this workshop, you will explore how to use both big and small challenges in your relationship as opportunities to grow both individually and as a couple. We'll work on sharing truth honestly -- without blame; opening yourself to vulnerability, without losing power, and choosing compassion -- both for yourself and for your partner.

Courageous Self Awareness and Self Expression Program-A Compassionate Communication Program for Social Justice Advocates
A year-long monthly program with Nancy Kahn
In this Connection Across Differences Program in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), we address the challenges that block our capacity to meet our own needs for self acceptance, self love, authenticity with self, self compassion, and the capacity for empathy for others as we carry out the work we care about in our social justice organizations and movements, and/or live with daily experiences that leave us longing for social justice in the world.

There will be two sessions per month; One in-person session on
the third Sunday of the month, and one teleclass session on

Strengthening Our Relationships Through Compassionate Communication
A year-long monthly Community Building Program with Nancy Kahn
Meets the second Sunday of the month in person in Daly City, from 1:30 pm. Come with your partner or alone.
From the years I have spent working with couples, and specifically, supporting a high percentage of
couples comprised of women in relationship with women, I have come to recognize the value of
community support in addition to individual work.
The program registration fee is $900 for the entire program.

The Living Peace retreat is a perfect way to immerse oneself in both the beauty of NVC community and the beauty of nature. Set in the beautiful redwood forest of the Santa Cruz Mountains, the retreat typically draws participants with considerable Nonviolent Communication experience, who want to bring their understanding and proficiency to a new level and also those who are new to NVC and want to immerse themselves in NVC skills and consciousness.
