Introducing our new bulletin format!

Greetings!

picture of Dorrit, the ED

You may have noticed that we have changed the frequency of the BayNVC Bulletin from once to twice a month.  This change came about because we wanted to tame the unwieldy length of the monthly Bulletin while continuing to provide you with interesting, engaging, information that you would enjoy reading.  As it stands now, each edition of the Bulletin has a special flavor with articles, class selections and new added features.

At the beginning of the month, we will share with you our celebrations and our involvements in the community.  Our "Hot Picks!" will highlight the events we are really excited about and "The Fearless Heart" will keep you up to date with Miki Kashtan's writings and events.

Mid-month we will let you in on what is happening at BayNVC and draw your attention to the activities of our trainers as they are out and about moving NVC into the world.

As with everything, the newsletter remains an ever-evolving process as we continue to look for effective and pleasing ways to connect with you, serve you and encourage your participation with BayNVC.

Cheers,

Dorrit

Talking About Bullying

by Miki Kashtan

Miki Kashtan When I said "yes" to giving a keynote speech about bullying I knew I could count on a global network of NVC trainers to help me. The biggest support I received was a deeply moving story about Zeke, a 16-year-old boy, member of the KKK, who was met with such empathy that he could recognize that his membership was an attempt to have connection with his father. Being understood as deeply as he was by my colleague Catherine Cadden was a new experience for Zeke. Read Full ArticleWatch Miki's Keynote Speech about Bullying on YouTube

Parents often would like to see their children act differently, although they are at a loss for strategies other than using their greater power to force the behavior they want. In this workshop learn a process for supporting the quality of connection necessary in your family to create agreements, and to take advantage of the opportunity to foster greater connection, trust, and understanding when agreements are not kept.
