Personal Growth and Social Change (Pt. 5)

For anyone who accepts the radical notion of creating a world based on
the principle of meeting needs as the core organizing principle, this
means putting energy into envisioning in detail how different systems
would work. At one and the same time this act of visioning supports us
in knowing what we work for as well as in transforming our
consciousness. Specifically, this activity frees us from the paralyzing
belief that what is happening is the only possible way that life could
be, and opens us in very practical and daily terms to the desire and
subsequently the capacity to act differently and become daily agents of
change.

Everyone Matters: Interdependence in Action A presentation at the Bioneers Conference

Saturday, October 16th, 2010 More and more people talk about
interdependence, and yet for most of us it remains a concept rather than a
lived reality. This workshop will engage participants in exploring the
cultural conditioning that leaves us isolated and invisible, and introduce concrete
tools for embodying interdependence as a practice of peace: transcending
self-sufficiency, opening our hearts to others, risking our own significance,
and connecting across differences.

foster trust, mutual respect, and understanding even in the midst of intense
disagreements.

Personal Growth and Social Change: A live call with Miki
Join Miki for an in-depth discussion on Personal Growth and Social Change
Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 9:30 am PT
Many of us who practice nonviolence carry a vision of a world that works
for all, where everyone's needs matter and people and the planet are
cared for. None of us know what will or could bring about our vision.
Will it be a miracle of a single leader transforming the cultural
assumptions and practices? Will it be a world collapse which will create
a void and an opportunity to restructure society? Will it be a critical
mass of people who inhabit different forms of human relationship? Will
it be a nonviolent revolution? Will it be alternative structures that
gradually attract more and more resources and people to them? Or will it
be something else none of us can imagine?
We invite you to join us as Miki leads us through an exploration of the relationship between personal growth and social change.

NVC Integration and Mentoring Program with Miki Kashtan
Are you eager to integrate NVC into all areas of your life? Do you want to immerse yourself in serious study of NVC principles and practice? Do you thrive on having a structure of support to ground your learning and integration?
This online program is designed for people who
don't have easy access to local trainer support, and who are eager to
embark on a serious study of NVC. It can be taken at many different
levels of experience, but is not designed for people who are just
beginning their journey of NVC.
Here is what course participant, Ronnie Hausheer, is saying about the Integration Program: "This course is blowing my socks off! Miki has structured the material
in a way that supports my exploring important topics within NVC.
Participating in class and doing the exercises between classes is making
me conscious of when and how I apply NVC consciousness in my daily
life."

Consciousness Transformation Community
Next Open Call: Thursday, October 21st, 2010 5-6:30 PM PT
In February, 2010, I announced
the Consciousness Transformation Community (CTC), which
was a wild dream at that time, and
since then over 50 people have joined. CTC revolves around
17 core commitments, and is based on a dream I have had of
working with and supporting people who are committed to
consciousness transformation. I am overjoyed by the
results so far, and am hopeful that over time more people
will find out about this community. Anyone who is ready to
commit to whatever it takes to live an interdependent,
conscious, responsible, compassionate and
caring life is invited to join. My goal is to create a
web of support for all of us who aim in
this direction so that we are not alone in creating the
monumental change we are longing for within and around us,
and so that we have fun along the way.
New members are invited to join CTC at any time. The next open CTC call is on Thursday, October 21, 2010, from 5:00pm - 6:30pm Pacific Time. Contact ctc@baynvc.org for
information about CTC and to register for an open call.
You can also listen to the recording of some calls by
clicking here.
How CTC Works CTC is NOT a training program,
and is not interchangeable with any other training offered by BayNVC (such as
Foundation series or the Leadership Program) or any other NVC trainer. My
intention is for involvement with CTC to be a separate commitment taken on in
addition to any other learning of NVC. CTC is intended for those whose
commitment to living fully the NVC consciousness in all they do is high, and
for whom consciousness transformation is a top priority in their life,
including a commitment to pass it on to others in some capacity. More info here on how CTC works

Exciting New Format for the Leadership Program
I am so excited about the new face of the
program that I would almost want to participate! We have asked Kit
Miller, Arnina Kashtan, and Jorge Rubio, longstanding members of
the global NVC training community, to join Roxy Manning and
Francois Beausoleil for one each of the three retreats. I can't
wait to see what new insights, experiences, and learning they will
bring to the rich tradition we have created over the many years
the program has been offered.
If you have done the program already, I invite
you to consider coming back. You will get the same comprehensive
coverage of materials with entirely new angles given the different
styles, experiences, and gifts that each of the guest trainers
brings with them.
