About the Foundation:
Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation registered with the Missouri Secretary of State's office, was developed in early 2010 for the purpose of providing support for recreational facilities and projects involving the general public.
These projects will include guided tours of Table Rock Dam and Powerhouse, sale of souvenirs and retail items with educational and/or environmental messages in the Dewey Short Visitor Center"s "Discovery Shop", educational lecture series and programs, research, volunteer opportunities, land and lake access improvements, stewardship, technical assistance, advocacy and special events within a service area of Missouri and Arkansas.
Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation is proud to partner with the US Army Corps of Engineers to operate Moonshine Beach Recreation Area, Indian Point, Cape Fair, Aunts Creek, Baxter, Campbell Point, Mill Creek, and Old 86 campgrounds. By entering into this cooperative agreement, the foundation is working to fulfill the mission of providing financial support to Corps recreational facilities. The foundation's operation is financed through product sales, fees, and donations. Revenue collected by the foundation remains at Table Rock to enhance facilities owned by the US Army Corps of Engineers.
