Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation wants to let everyone know that the tornado on February 29 did not affect Table Rock Dam or the Dewey Short Visitor Center. Our thoughts are with those who did lose loved ones as a result of this large storm that affected much of the Midwest.
The majority of the damage in our area centered around the Historic Downtown area, Branson Landing and a section of W 76 Country Boulevard west of Gretna Rd/Hwy 165. Recovery efforts are underway. Many major attractions sustained no damage, many attractions and businesses are open and welcoming visitors.
While the property damage caused by the storm was significant, the vast majority of Branson area hotels, attractions, theatres, restaurants and shops are fine and open for business. For updated information, visit the Branson Chamber website www.ExploreBranson.com.
Tours of Table Rock Dam have now begun. Tours daily at 10am, noon, 2pm and 4pm. See the Rates and Reservations page for complete details and security guidelines.
