So, here is my rule for when I am having a pity party. I only allow 15 minutes for my pity party. If it lasts longer, what good is it doing me? Am I getting smarter, richer, and happier? NO! So, I allow 15 minutes to feel sorry for myself, THEN I DECIDE---that's right---I DECIDE to do something about it. It could be listening to upbeat music or writing out a list of what I have to do and breaking it down into small obtainable tasks. It might even be sharing my issues with bright and positive people who can see things I cannot.
Then I DO IT!! I get moving. Sometimes, I migh t have to give myself a quick kick in the behind, to push myself, but I do something. I do not sit around and wait for a solution to come to me, because 9 times out of 10, nothing comes...other than more self-pity!
So, get off your butt! DECIDE to do something---if not for you, for your family, your future, your happiness or your health. Like that Nike ad says: "Just do it!"
So get out there and have a great day!
