Staff News A familiar face to many of our alumni should be that of Mrs. Ramona Wilson pictured here with three of our graduating seniors, Kimberly Stevenson, Nicholas Suraci and Danielle Bond. Mrs. Wilson is the Senior Administrative Assistant who runs our Undergraduate Programs Office Advisement Center and provides administrative support to the Health Science Advisement and Evaluation Committee (HSAEC). For the past 10 years Mrs. Wilson has advised, mentored and encouraged our undergraduates. She routinely problem solves for faculty and students alike and has even been know to dry a few tears. Countless students credit her with their success at UD and beyond. Students, faculty, and parents all seem to agree that she is, as one grateful parent wrote recently, a "University of Delaware Treasure." |
Alumni News
Patricia Hansen (Honors BA with Distinction, Class of 2006) returned to the laboratory of Dr. Deni Galileo for a research rotation during January and March of her senior year in medical school at Thomas Jefferson University's Jefferson Medical College. Here, Patti was injecting fluorescent human brain cancer cells directly into the chick embryo brain and followed their spread throughout the brain. For her undergraduate senior thesis with Dr. Galileo, she injected human breast cancer cells into blood vessels of the chick embryo to show their metastasis to other organs, such as the brain. Patti will begin her residency in Psychiatry at Jefferson Medical College this summer.
