Worcester's First Annual Craft Beer Festival, Brew-Woo, sponsored by KJ Baaron's, will take place on Sat., April 23 from 3 pm to 9 pm in the DCU Center Convention Hall, in downtown Worcester. This is a 21+ event.  

 

Brew-Woo will feature 30+ breweries with craft beers and local brews, live music, a Bar-BREW-Que corner, traditional concessions and expert brew-makers.

    

TICKETS: $30 at door; $25 in advance (includes souvenir glass and 10 drink tickets). WOO Card holders receive a $5 voucher good at concession stands. Tickets are available at the DCU Center Box Office, Ticketmaster, by phone: 800-745-3000 or online: www.ticketmaster.com.

Senator Scott Brown will be the featured guest at a breakfast, co-hosted by the Worcester Regional, North Central Mass, Nashoba Valley, and Wachusett Chambers of Commerce on Tuesday, April 26 from 8 - 9:30 am at the Wachusett Village Inn, located at 9 Village Inn Road in Westminster. The cost to attend is $20.

Worcester Economic Club

The Worcester Economic Club will hold its annual meeting at the Beechwood Hotel on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. A cocktail reception will be held at 5:30 pm followed by the dinner and speaking program at 6:30 pm. The guest speaker will be W. Patrick Hughes, President & CEO of Fallon Community Health Plan. Type 2 Diabetes Research Study

UMass is recruiting women between the ages of 21-65 with type 2 diabetes to participate in an investigational program to improve diabetes management. The UMass program is geared toward helping you feel healthy, mentally and physically. If eligible, you will be assigned to a group-based program or standard care for diabetes.
