Dreaming the Quiet Man

at the AFI European Film Showcase 

 

Returning to the film's locations in County Mayo and Ford's ancestral homeland of Connemara, Sé Merry Doyle's documentary investigates THE QUIET MAN's fascinating history and legacy, featuring interviews with Ford aficionados and collaborators including Peter Bogdanovich, Martin Scorsese, Jim Sheridan, Gabriel Byrne and Maureen O'Hara.

Irish piano trio Ensemble Avalon will undertake their first North American tour in November 2011. Supported by Culture Ireland and the Imagine Ireland 2011 initiative, the tour will comprise of 3 concerts, which will take place in Washington D.C., Princeton University and in Manhattan.
