Irish Network Photo Competition - Enter by 9 November!
Irish Network - DC are running a photography competition open to all - 'Washington Through Irish Eyes' - and you can upload up to 10 of your photos now to enter. Deadline for entries is 9 November.
There will be prizes for the categories: People, Places and Nature, as well as Best Spirit of DC and Best Photo Taken with a Phone. The winning entries will be announced at an event at the end of November, and the winning photos will also go on display at the Embassy of Ireland.
To submit photos, just click on http://www.flickr.com/. Sign-in ID is "indcphotography" and the password is "indc2011". For each photograph loaded, add a title and in the description box state your name and if the photo was taken with a phone. Please email irishnetworkdc@gmail.com with your contact details.

Irish piano trio Ensemble Avalon will undertake their first North American tour in November 2011. Supported by Culture Ireland and the Imagine Ireland 2011 initiative, the tour will comprise of 3 concerts, which will take place in Washington D.C., Princeton University and in Manhattan.

Kids Euro Festival 2011

Kids Euro Festival, with over 200 free performances, workshops, readings and films will take place from 14th October to 10th November.
