Tri-C Announced As Lead on National Health Information Technology
Training Program

Tri-C has been selected by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to lead a group of Midwestern community colleges that will offer health information technology (HIT) training to move the nation toward a system of electronic medical records. Tri-C will lead the Midwestern Consortium involving 17 community colleges who will receive a year one award of $7.5 million with the potential for additional funds of more than $7 million in year two from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Tri-C Health, Wellness and Preventative Care Centers Reopening in September 
 
Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) Community Health, Wellness and Preventative Care Centers at the Metropolitan and Eastern Campuses reopened for the current academic year on September 7 and 9 respectively. The Care Centers provide Tri-C students with a clinical setting in an educational climate that supports their development as healthcare professionals. The Care Centers also provide noninsured and underinsured community members with access to healthcare services at no cost.  More... 
Opened in 1963, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) is Ohio's first community college and remains the state's largest, serving more than 55,000 students each year. More than 900,000 county residents have come through Tri-C's doors.

The college offers two-year associate degrees, certificate programs, and the first two years of a baccalaureate degree. The curriculum includes over 1,000 credit courses in more than 140 career, certificate and university transfer programs.

Courses are offered at three campus locations, two Corporate College® facilities, many off-campus sites, and via television and the Internet.
