Save Money, Improve Performance
with I.T. Managed Services |
If you are considering a change to your IT services and support because of cost, control or internal capability, consider the advantages of using an outside managed services partner.
When you consider your internal cost of recruiting, hiring, training, technology, help desk hardware and software, hosting and redundancy, analysis, systems maintenance and upgrading, an outside managed service provider can save you money -- and improve network performance. Try our calculator to see if you can save.
While organizations are unique in many ways, technical problems are generally universal. Most support needs stem from standard desktop software, password resets, backups and operating systems issues, allowing outside experts to meet needs on the first request. Regular support can be scheduled at your convenience and emergencies remotely addressed in minutes.
Managed service agreements provide you control as well as flexibility, as managed service providers have the staff and resources to handle peak volumes stemming from unforeseen circumstances, such as system crashes, viruses or application roll-outs.
Finally, outsourcing can get your IT system into top shape. Continuously trained outside experts can often resolve inefficiencies and issues more quickly than internal resources charged with bettering the system, and can introduce process improvements in many areas, including regulatory standards for compliance.

What You Need to Know About
Cyber Attacks |
Cyber attacks can inflict tremendous economic damage on any business. Indeed, over 2,500 data breaches involving nearly 600 million records have been made public in the last few years. Such attacks have included:
- Intellectual property theft
- Fraud - such as stealing credit card information
- Attacks upon infrastructure - A power grid or water supply is particularly vulnerable
- Attacking a telecommunications system to intercept data
Ensuring that unauthorized users are not granted access to your company's information requires a highly organized and integrated program of activity that requires employees to help in the fight. Maintain a detailed set of information security policies and procedures, and frequently review them to reflect the latest intelligence and countermeasures for all employees and contractors.
Ensure policies and procedures contain clear guidance for employees regarding log-in credentials, document storage and destruction, software installation, phishing emails, and use of company equipment and email systems.
Authenticating a user as having permission to access a network can reduce intruder access to your company's data and infrastructure. There are a number of quality third party authentication tools available.
Be open to working with government. The federal government has invested heavily in cyber attack prevention and detection; combining best practices from public and private sectors creates an exceptional defense.
Protecting your company against cyber attacks requires employee awareness, a robust set of policies and procedures, and high performing authentication tools. To learn more, contact any EDTS associate.
