Dragon Happenings
Dear Imagine Families,
Our kindergarten and first grade students provided their parents with a singing performance last week to highlight the folk songs they've learned in music. Thank you Mrs. Nelken for preparing our students for this wonderful demonstration of what students are learning.
Columbus Day is a federal holiday celebrated on the second Monday of October. Columbus Day will be celebrated on October 8th.
On Tuesday individual pictures will be taken for the Yearbook, and parents have the opportunity to purchase packages. Order forms were sent home.
A reminder that our monthly McDonald's Spirit Night is this Thursday. The school receives a percentage of all proceeds taken in at the counter or drive through from 5-7pm at the Land O Lakes Blvd. location.
Our students taking Spanish in middle school are preparing for a presentation for the rest of the school on October 15th as the culmination of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15th-October 15th). The presentation will showcase Hispanic contributions to the USA and share information about Hispanic culture.
Thank you again for your support of Imagine School. We are 20 students from our capacity of 654 students this school year. We have seats available in grades 4-8. If you've applied, please contact us if you'd like to enroll your child!

Too Sick for School? | A child who is too sick needs rest, plenty of fluids, and "tender loving care". Here are some helpful hints: - A child who has a fever with a temperature of 110 degrees (orally), has been vomiting, or has diarrhea should stay home for 24 hours AFTER the symptoms are gone.
- Do not medicate your child in the morning and send them to school.
- Children of all ages need 8-10 hours of sleep at night and good nutrition including adequate fluids such as milk, juice and water.
Consider a medical evaluation for:- Fever that last 3 or more days
- Drainage from the ear
- Cough that continues for several days
- Repeated episodes of diarrhea or vomiting
- Rash
- Itchy eyes with a clear or cloudy drainage
- Sore throat, with or without fever
- "cold" symptoms that last more than one week
We want and need our students at school every day, but it's important that they're healthy and not going to spread the illness to others. |
Fall Festival
| Plans are underway for our Fall Festival on Friday evening October 19th. If you can volunteer, please let us know by going to the VolunteerSpot and signing up.

This year the 7th grade students are giving back to their community by helping an organization called Feeding America. Feeding America is an organization that helps area shelters, residential group homes, and kids' after school programs. The 7th grade students are asking for your help to feed America by bringing in your can and boxed food to your child's homeroom teacher. The students will be collecting the food throughout the week of October 8 to October 12. The students will then delivery the collected food during their field trip on Friday, October 19th. Thank you in advance for your support! |
